Closed Cell Foam applied to interior of a Metal building with 2x4 stud framing
This particular job required the application of Closed Cell foam because of the metal exterior. Open celled foam would accept the water from the building sweating and would have caused problems down the road. The contractor on the job thought that at first, the use of spray foam was a waste b/c he could have installed batt insulation, like his typical applications. However, the home owner here saw the benefits of the spray foam and was surprised to see how much sturdier her building was because of it. The owner called me about 2 weeks after installing the foam to tell me that the contractor came up to her after-wards and said that after seeing how well the building was insulated, that that had to be one of the smartest decisions she ever made concerning this building. Another success story for Spray Foam!
