What is EPDM & Modified Bitumen Recoating System?
A Complete coating system designed to deliver improved reflectivity and waterproofing to aged Modified systems and aged mechanically-fastened and fully adhered EPDM membrane roofing systems. The membrane is cleaned, primed and all seams are reinforced using fabric embedded in an acrylic elastomeric roof coating. The finish coat provides excellent waterproofing and cools the roofing surface, reducing the damaging effects of thermal shock.

EPDM Roofing System applied on the local Meineke roof
The shop owner had an EPDM (rubber) roof installed a number of years ago, but leaks started to develop at the seams, around the penetrations and around the skylights where the flashing was having problems. The roof insulation was not wet, therefore, we were able to install the Conklin EPDM Recoating system to his roof. This saves him money as the customer waiting area stays cooler along with his shop. We were also able to save him a lot of money on other roofing options since we did not need to remove and replace his roof. See pictures below.

Newport News International Airport was having problems with their roofs on two (2) of their major buildings. The existing roofing system was a fully adhered, tapered EPDM rubber roof. The airport needed to have a solution to their problem without all the equipment, keeping airport security and without risking damage to the interior of the building. They decided on the Conklin EPDM Recoat system because their roof met all the requirements and because of the reliability and reputation of the Conklin EPDM Recoat system. We were able to complete each roofing section with a 4-5 man crew and no big equipment.
